About the role
We are adding a data collector to our team to help make workplaces safer. If you have 480V 3-phase factory experience we want to talk with you!
Responsibilities
- Travel to job sites to conduct arc flash evaluations
- Open equipment and record equipment information via photos, paper, and electronic means
- Read and understand one line drawings and make edits to create accurate as-built drawings
- Utilize online document storage to retrieve and upload data, as well as spreadsheets to enter information
- Communicate with engineering and the customer to answer questions and ensure accuracy
- Apply labels to electrical equipment
- Conduct yourself professionally at all times because you are the company's interface with our customers. Be able to observe and inquire about other opportunities where the company may be able to help.
- Use your brain, not your brawn, we want someone who can use their experience to accurately describe electrical distribution systems so our engineers can efficiently model them.
- You’ll get to see how stuff works. From ice cream factories, to tires, to hospitals, to nuclear power plants, you will be working with a wide variety of customers whose names you will know.
Requirements
- Industrial experience (previous experience with arc flash evaluations a plus, or an electrical engineering degree)
- Ability to travel (valid driver’s license, air travel)
- Live within an hour of a major airport
- Ability to work efficiently on laptops and tablets and be proficient using applications similar to Google drive, spreadsheets, Google photos, and pdf files.
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills working in a small, highly focused and interactive team
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and walk, stand, and crawl for extended periods
- You must reside in the USA
- We are not currently providing employment visa sponsorship
- This is a 100% travel position
Skills
- Experience with arc flash evaluations
- Proficiency with one-line drawings and as-built drawings
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and customers
- Proficiency with various digital tools (Google Drive, spreadsheets, Google Photos, PDF files)
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
