Description
CPEG offers a wide variety of large industrial processing equipment for various industries. CPEG Buffalo LLC is seeking a full-time, on-site Electrician to join the Tonawanda shop at 2000 Military Road, Tonawanda NY 14150.
Job Duties
- Performs duties and responsibilities in compliance with CPEG’s Process Map for Production
- Interprets and reads schematic wiring drawings
- Runs rigid conduit
- Bends and threads using hand and power tools
- Pulls and terminates wire
- Builds junction boxes to print
- Maintains a customer-focused perspective in all activities initiated to ensure that customer needs are successfully met
- Develops professional and process expertise to provide improved assistance to internal and external customers
- Basic mechanical skills
- Safety and housekeeping
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent required
- Vocational or Technical training in related area preferred
- One year experience in Rigid Conduit / Cable Tray & Glands preferred
- Two to five years in an industrial work environment preferred

- Basic problem solving skills
- Able to understand electrical symbols
- Able to cut and thread conduit to proper size
- Able to identify the different fittings and their use
- Able to assist in wire pulling
- Able to make simple electrical connections
- Able to calculate proper dimensions for conduit bending
- Familiar with GreenLee one shot table top bender
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics
- Basic reading and comprehension skills
- Able to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Basic Assembly Skills
- Basic Mechanical Skills
- Able to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Able to use a level and tape measures
- Knowledge of general manufacturing safety rules
- Basic computer skills
Skills and Abilities
- Basic math including, but not limited to, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals
- Basic measuring devices and basic scales of measurement including but not limited to, tape measures, rulers, thermometers and machinist scales
- Understands and able to utilize mathematical formulas required to perform job
- Able to use a level and tape measures
- Knowledge of general manufacturing safety rules
- Basic computer skills
