Electrician (4-Day Work Week)

Description

CPEG offers a wide variety of large industrial processing equipment for various industries. CPEG Buffalo LLC is seeking a full-time, on-site Electrician to join the Tonawanda shop at 2000 Military Road, Tonawanda NY 14150.

Job Duties

• Performs duties and responsibilities in compliance with CPEG’s Process Map for Production
• Interprets and reads schematic wiring drawings
• Runs rigid conduit
• Bends and threads using hand and power tools
• Pulls and terminates wire
• Builds junction boxes to print
• Maintains a customer-focused perspective in all activities initiated to ensure that customer needs are successfully met
• Develops professional and process expertise to provide improved assistance to internal and external customers
• Basic mechanical skills
• Safety and housekeeping

Requirements

• High School Diploma, or equivalent required
• Vocational or Technical training in related area preferred
• One year experience in Rigid Conduit / Cable Tray & Glands preferred
• Two to five years in an industrial work environment preferred

• Able to understand electrical symbols
• Able to cut and thread conduit to proper size
• Able to identify the different fittings and their use
• Able to assist in wire pulling
• Able to make simple electrical connections
• Able to calculate proper dimensions for conduit bending
• Familiar with GreenLee one shot table top bender
• Able to read and understand electrical schematics
• Basic reading and comprehension skills
• Able to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Basic Assembly Skills
• Basic Mechanical Skills
• Able to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Able to use a level and tape measures
• Knowledge of general manufacturing safety rules
• Basic computer skills

Skills and Abilities

• Basic math including, but not limited to, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals
• Basic measuring devices and basic scales of measurement including but not limited to, tape measures, rulers, thermometers and machinist scales
• Understands and able to utilize mathematical formulas required to perform job
• Able to use a level and tape measures
• Knowledge of general manufacturing safety rules
• Basic computer skills
