About the role

Our client, a leading organization in the industrial sector, is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their team. As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be an integral part of the facilities maintenance department supporting the operational efficiency of the site. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and maintenance tasks, which will align successfully within the organization.

Pay rate: $35-37/hr
Location: Detroit, MI

What's the Job?

• Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify electrical problems and determine the cause of malfunctions or breakdowns.
• Inspect electrical systems, use testing equipment, and interpret wiring diagrams to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, motors, and lighting fixtures.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and identify potential issues.
• Adhere to local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations to maintain compliance and promote safe working conditions.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a maintenance electrician or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
