Key Responsibilities

- The individual in this position must possess a working knowledge of electricity, electronics, instrumentation, and control systems. In addition, he/she must perform electronic, electrical, instrumentation and control systems, which includes installations, calibrations, maintenance, documentation, and repairs. The knowledge of this position is equipment specific and assists in avoiding unnecessary process interruptions or downtime. - This individual must have a working knowledge of safe work practices, plant equipment, trouble shooting and repair procedures, and equipment installation under the supervision of the Maintenance Team Leader, Maintenance Supervisors, and other members of management. Technician will ensure production equipment is properly configured and set to desired controls to assist with meeting desired operational efficiencies and goals.

Relevant Experience

- 3- 5 years of instrumentation/electronic/electrical relevant experience. Graduation from a technical trade and/or completion of an apprenticeship, certificate or associate degree program in a related field. - Experience programming and/or PLC operations preferred.

- Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English in a manner to successfully complete job duties. - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. - Must be able to demonstrate manual and physical dexterity. - Must be able to work with hazardous and corrosive chemicals in small areas. - Must be able to tell time and be able to convert regular time to military time. - Must be able to use a computer and successfully navigate through various applications. Must be proficient at computer system data entry. - Must be able to maneuver in close quarters and climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks on a regular basis. - Must be able to stand on concrete floors for long periods of time. - Must be able to work in extreme environments (cold, hot, humid and slippery). - Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. - Must be able to identify hazards and report to appropriate personnel. - Must have an acceptable attendance record and safety record. - Must be able to work in stressful situations. - Must be able to read and interpret written instructions, manufacturers’ manuals, material safety data sheets and engineering drawings. - Must be able to use written logbooks, plant computer system, and maintenance work order and supply system. - Must be able to use personal protective equipment, such as safety harness, eyeglasses, hardhat, and gloves.
