Electrical Test Technician 2

Job Duties

• Perform HiPot testing, breaker testing, AC/DC testing, I/O testing, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) on electrical equipment and systems.
• Test HVAC systems, lighting, receptacles, fans, fire alarm systems, battery systems, and perform cable megger testing.
• Troubleshoot electrical assembly, wiring, and testing issues.
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to complete testing accurately and on schedule.
• Document test results and prepare technical reports with findings and recommended corrective actions.
• Utilize electrical testing and measuring equipment to verify system performance.
• Follow all company safety procedures and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• An associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred.
• At least 2 years of electrical testing or related industrial electrical experience.
• A strong understanding of electrical theory and electrical testing principles.
• Experience performing HiPot, breaker, AC/DC, I/O, and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
• Experience testing three-phase AC and DC control circuits.
• The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, megohm meters (megger), and other electrical diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and NEC codes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work throughout a manufacturing facility while wearing required PPE.
