Responsibilities
- Maintain, modify, and troubleshoot machine PLC controls and processes to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and increase reliability.
- Work with various phases of automated controls projects such as: design, estimating, implementing, modifying, and troubleshooting.
- Participate in Electrical Preventive Maintenance program to maintain the integrity of electrical infrastructure.
- Demonstrate safe electrical work practice.
- Maintain / troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic machine controls to increase productivity and quality.
- Aid maintenance and production with problem solving efforts.
- Work with the Engineering and Maintenance teams to increase equipment reliability.
- Perform calibrations on critical sensors.
- Troubleshoot PLC logic, HMIs, and Networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus).
- Actuate load break switches on electrical distribution equipment (13.8kV – 480V) and rack in / rack out distribution breakers (13.8kV – 480V).
- Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Required Work Experience: Strong technical skills including PLC, electrical, and mechanical.
- Strong knowledge of Allen Bradley Control Systems – including CompactLogix, ControlLogix, Point IO, PanelView, Powerflex 525 & 755 drives.
- Strong knowledge of industrial network protocols - Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use electrical test instrumentation.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.
Additional Requirements
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
- Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
