Duties, Responsibilities & Other
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and control systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and specifications
- Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local jurisdiction requirements
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify electrical issues and implement repairs
- Install and connect panels, transformers, motors, lighting systems, and control devices
- Test electrical systems and continuity using appropriate testing instruments
- Cookordinate work with project managers, foremen, inspectors, and other trades
- Supervise and provide guidance to apprentices when assigned
- Document work performed, materials used, and any changes to plans
- Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite cleanliness
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company policies
Specialized Experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and code requirements
- Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work
- Experience with low-voltage systems, fire alarm, or control systems
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- CPR/First Aid training
- Experience working on active construction sites
Qualifications
- Education and/or Skills Required: Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program
- Education and/or Skills Preferred: Highschool Diploma/GED Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required Valid Driver’s License Valid Journeyman Electrician license (state or local, as applicable)
- Ability to maintain required certifications.
