Electrical Technician 4

Duties, Responsibilities & Other

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and control systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and specifications
• Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local jurisdiction requirements
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify electrical issues and implement repairs
• Install and connect panels, transformers, motors, lighting systems, and control devices
• Test electrical systems and continuity using appropriate testing instruments
• Cookordinate work with project managers, foremen, inspectors, and other trades
• Supervise and provide guidance to apprentices when assigned
• Document work performed, materials used, and any changes to plans
• Maintain tools, equipment, and jobsite cleanliness
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company policies

Specialized Experience

• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and code requirements
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work
• Experience with low-voltage systems, fire alarm, or control systems
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• CPR/First Aid training
• Experience working on active construction sites

Qualifications

• Education and/or Skills Required: Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience Completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship program
• Education and/or Skills Preferred: Highschool Diploma/GED Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required Valid Driver’s License Valid Journeyman Electrician license (state or local, as applicable)
• Ability to maintain required certifications.
