Key Responsibilities
- Lead system architecture development for electromechanical medical devices, including consoles and single-use disposable systems.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Medical Affairs to define and refine user needs and design requirements.
- Participate in preclinical and formative studies with physicians and key users to gather feedback and improve system performance.
- Architect, design, prototype, test, verify, validate, and transfer Class II medical devices to production.
- Create and maintain design documentation including requirements, specifications, test plans, and V&V reports.
- Serve as a hands-on technical resource across engineering disciplines.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in electronics and system design for new product development.
- Strong preference for medical device industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing software-driven electromechanical systems.
- Experience with single-use disposable medical devices.
- Experience supporting console-based medical systems.
- Proven ability to work independently in a hands-on engineering capacity.
- Experience collaborating with marketing teams to translate user needs into system requirements.
Technical Expertise
- Electromechanical product development.
- System architecture design.
- Critical component selection.
- Prototype development and testing.
- Release to production processes.
- Broad cross-disciplinary engineering exposure (mechanical, electrical, software).
- Experience with ablation devices strongly preferred.

- Touchscreen displays.

- Application processors.
- Sensors and data acquisition systems.
- Pumps, valves, and motor control technologies.
Tools & Platforms
- JAMA (requirements management).
- Altium (electrical design).
- SolidWorks (mechanical design).
Travel
Quarterly travel to Austin, TX (approximately once per quarter).
