Electrical Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and schedule a team of industrial electricians and Controls Techs. Foster a collaborative environment focused on professional growth and safety.
• System Maintenance: Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical systems, including 3-phase power distribution, Motor Control Centers, VFDs, and instrumentation.
• Automation & PLC Support: Manage and troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and HMI interfaces to minimize downtime on the production floor.
• Proactive Strategy: Maintain and execute a robust Preventative Maintenance program for all electrical assets, utilizing a CMMS to track work orders and equipment reliability.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to National Electrical Code. Enforce strict adherence to LOTO, and food safety standards.
• Project Management: Collaborate with the Maintenance and Production departments on facility upgrades, new equipment installs, and reliability audits.
• Resource Management: Oversee spare parts inventory to ensure needed parts are in stock when needed. Coordinate with external contractors and vendors.

Requirements

• Licensure: Must hold a valid State of Maine Master Electrician License.
• Experience: Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance. Industry Background: Previous experience in food processing or a high-volume manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: * Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC). Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints. Strong knowledge of PLCs, sensors, and automated process systems.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and decisive during high-pressure equipment failures.
• Availability: Ability to work 40 + hours per week and provide on-call support as required.

Compensation Package

Starting at $27.00 USD hourly. The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
