About the Role
Are you a hands-on electrical leader who thrives on ownership and teamwork? As a CBRE Technical Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day electrical operations and oversee all electricians on site, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This role blends technical expertise with leadership, giving you the opportunity to guide your team, solve complex challenges, and keep critical building systems running at peak performance.
This position is part of CBRE’s Engineering and Technical Services team and plays a key role in delivering reliable operations, preventive maintenance, and responsive service for electrical and building systems.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise and lead all electricians, providing direction, technical guidance, training, and performance oversight
- Ensure full compliance with all electrical codes, safety regulations, governmental requirements, and CBRE standards
- Review, assign, and resolve complex work orders and technical issues
- Coverage with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and planned downtime to minimize business disruption
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of electrical and building systems
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and operational readiness
- Confirm all systems are fully functional and client spaces are maintained in prime working condition
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, securing additional resources as needed
- Lead by example by modeling behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values and standardized procedures
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding
What You’ll Need
- A High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
- Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
