Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for job site safety and quality assurance/quality control procedures.
- Coordinates workers, material, and equipment and ensures that specifications are being followed.
- Looks ahead to avoid conflicts in timing between crafts.
- Deals effectively with employees and various levels of customer representatives to resolve scheduling problems, determine work priorities, and assess project requirements.
- Defines and monitors expected results from subordinates, ensuring achievement relative to work output, quality of work, accidents, and training.
- Makes daily evaluations and counsels subordinates, requiring managerial and motivational skills.
- Writes reports and administers policies as part of the daily workload.
- Handles significant challenges in responding to time pressure in emergency situations.
- Conducts performance appraisals and recommends wage adjustments.
- Disciplines including termination when warranted, with discussions with management before taking action.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience supervising Heavy Industrial Electrical projects involving a variety of tasks.
- Current Journeyman or Master Electrical License preferred.
- Data Center experience required.
- Open to travel and possible rotating schedule.
- Renewable experience a plus.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid drivers’ license with a good driving record.
