Electrical Superintendent (Data Center Construction)

About the role

JSET is seeking an experienced Data Center Site Superintendent to lead field operations on data center and mission-critical construction projects throughout the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. Metro area, with a primary focus on Northern Virginia data center developments. This is a field-based leadership role responsible for directing foremen, coordinating crews, managing daily project execution, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements. The Site Superintendent serves as the primary field leader on the project, working closely with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, and field personnel to drive schedules, maintain quality standards, and ensure successful project delivery.

The role is primarily field-based supporting active construction projects located throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the Washington D.C. Metro area, with frequent work in active hyperscale, colocation, and mission-critical data center environments. Daily interaction with field crews, customers, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams; regular use of Procore, mobile technology, and digital documentation tools; indoor and outdoor work environments including varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and active construction activities; occasional travel outside the region may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations on active data center and mission-critical construction projects
• Direct foremen, technicians, and subcontractors throughout project execution
• Establish daily and weekly work plans, priorities, and manpower allocations
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and site logistics
• Monitor productivity, schedule performance, and labor utilization
• Conduct daily site walks and proactively resolve field issues
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Generate RFIs and support project documentation efforts
• Enforce safety requirements, quality standards, and company procedures
• Conduct QA/QC inspections and ensure installations meet project requirements
• Coordinate material deliveries, inventory management, and tool accountability
• Approve timecards and verify labor reporting accuracy
• Partner closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project execution
• Participate in owner, contractor, and trade coordination meetings
• Maintain strong customer relationships and represent JSET professionally on-site

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of electrical, industrial, controls, or construction experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, or comparable field leadership role
• Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors on active construction sites
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation
