Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of electrical crews and subcontractors onsite.
- Ensure all electrical installations are performed according to design specifications, codes, and safety standards (e.g., NEC, OSHA).
- Review electrical plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper execution.
- Maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and report updates to the Project Manager.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Ensure all electrical work meets quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) requirements.
- Manage procurement and inventory of electrical materials and tools.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and site-specific regulations.
- Cookordinate with other trades to avoid conflicts and optimize workflow.
- Document daily job activities, progress reports, and incident reports.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED, with technical training or an associate degree in Electrical Technology or Construction Management preferred.
- A Journeyman or Master Electrician license (if required by jurisdiction).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical construction, with 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
- A strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and construction practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and job site environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb ladders or scaffolding as needed.
- Standing and walking for extended periods on job sites.
