Responsibilities
- Work with Operations Managers to plan, estimate, schedule, staff, organize, direct, and control complex industrial operations jobs ensuring all customer and company requirements are fulfilled in an effective and timely manner with high quality.
- Plan, manage, and report on day-to-day industrial operations.
- Manage, supervise, mentor, and train Electrical personnel on work being conducted on US Navy ships and in offices, shops, and warehouses.
- Ensures electrical labor force is adequately trained, is using proper tools and equipment reflecting current technology that promote safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Provides technical leadership to the electrical production team.
- Collaborates closely with Project Management Team in coordinating and resourcing electrical work to coincide with integrated production schedules.
- Serves as a liaison between the Project Team and the electrical production team, providing technical expertise to assist the Project Team as needed.
- Collaborates with Estimating on the development of new project proposals and estimates during the initiating and planning phase as needed.
- Collaborates with the Operations Manager and Lead Technicians regarding resource allocation.
- Familiar with shipboard Test and Inspection Plans (TIPS), Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) and NAVSEA Standard Items and reviews them with lead electricians.
- Ensures projects adhere to R&P’s QMS and Safety Policy.
- Maintain employee records (i.e. training action plans, training records, charge code authorizations, employee advancement plans and job descriptions).
- Responsible for biannual evaluations and the approval of timecards, PTO and expense reports for their assigned personnel.
- Track, progress, and report on adherence to project plans and schedules identifying and resolving problems, issues, and roadblocks.
- Manage, maintain, and control company resources, ensuring work teams have all the resources needed to perform their jobs.
- Ensures all electrical calibrated equipment is tracked and calibrated on time.
- Ensures all tools and equipment are properly labeled, maintained, inventoried, issued, and properly tracked for accountability.
- Develop and implement work standards, processes, and procedures to effect continuous improvement, increase quality and efficiency, and control costs.

Qualifications
- 10 Years experience in the Shipboard Electrical Industry
- Proficient in paperwork and all Microsoft Office suite of applications., Microsoft Project, and Adobe Acrobat DC.
- OSHA 10 Training
- Deep understanding of NAVSEA Standard Items. 009-73, 009-123 and 009-25, MIL-STD and EPISM
- Active Secret Security Clearance preferred
- Leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills necessary to create and maintain healthy, thriving, dependable, and compliant work environments
- Familiar with NAVSEA Standard Items and ABS standards
- The ability to read, comprehend, and translate detailed and complicated customer work items, requirements, specifications, references, drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in U.S. Navy ship design, production, test, operations, maintenance, and modernization is highly preferred
- Experience in marine electrical systems installations, maintenance, and repair is preferred
- Lean Six Sigma certification is desirable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
