Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor on-site electrical teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure high performance and adherence to project standards.
- Serve as the primary electrical systems technical advisor at the onsite field construction office.
- Provide hands-on electrical systems support in the field, including layout verification and installation sequencing.
- Lead the planning, scheduling, and monitoring of electrical construction activities to meet project milestones.
- Facilitate daily coordination meetings and proactively resolve field issues to maintain project progress.
- Review, interpret, and coordinate electrical design drawings, construction documents, and technical manuals; quantify materials required for execution.
- Review and process shop drawings, product data, and technical submittals; ensure cross-discipline coordination for constructability and compatibility.
- Coordinate installation and inspection of electrical systems including switchgear, UPS systems, generators, PDUs, bus ducts, and low-voltage systems.
- Support BIM coordination efforts, including participation in clash detection and resolution processes.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE), and client specifications.
- Lead QA/QC activities for electrical installations, including participation in pre-functional testing and system startup.
- Support commissioning efforts and system turnover to the client or operations team.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Plumbing, CSA, and other electrical leads to ensure integration of civil, structural, architectural, and MEP systems.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Conduct routine site inspections and audits to promote and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent in commercial building construction required, with at least 3 years supporting hyperscale or mission-critical semiconductor or data center environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction practices in mission-critical or large-scale commercial environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure and systems, including high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage distribution, UPS systems, generators, grounding, and BMS integration.
- Deep understanding of construction means and methods, trade sequencing, commissioning processes, and integrated systems testing.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing field execution.
- Familiarity with BIM tools and coordination processes.
- Solid understanding of NEC, IEEE, and relevant electrical codes and standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Relevant trade certification or equivalent field experience required.
