About the role
The Electrical Superintendent at Conductor Power oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical installation and maintenance activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead on-site electrical construction activities by planning, scheduling, and coordinating labor, equipment, and materials to meet project milestones.
- Manage productivity and resources including labor tracking, manpower planning, equipment utilization, and material coordination with Purchasing.
- Ensure quality, safety, and compliance by enforcing safety protocols, conducting inspections, and verifying work meets project specifications, IFC drawings, and electrical codes.
- Provide technical leadership by supporting installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and assisting with technical interpretation on-site.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders including project managers, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and other trades to resolve conflicts and maintain project progress.
- Maintain project documentation and manage scope changes including daily reports, inspections, change orders, and evaluating schedule or cost impacts.
Requirements
- Experience – 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent with a strong background in electrical construction.
- Industry Knowledge – In-depth understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and renewable energy projects (solar experience preferred).
- Project Leadership – Proven ability to lead field teams and deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Technical Expertise – Strong ability to review blueprints, specifications, project schedules, and technical documents.
- Education & Certifications – Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred; trade experience required; Master Electrician or similar certification a plus.
- Communication & Mobility – Strong communication skills; ability to travel up to 100% and work on active job sites in varying conditions.
