Electrical Superintendent

ColonialWebb is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to provide field leadership and technical support for large-scale commercial electrical projects. As a superintendent, you will oversee change-outs, retrofits, and installations for complex electrical systems and associated control systems on large-scale commercial projects ranging from $100K to $3M.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate work activities for electrical mechanics, apprentices, and helpers
  • Manage 10-15 electricians at a time
  • Provide guidance and demonstrate best practices to other electricians, apprentices, and helpers
  • Perform/aid in electrical installation when needed
  • Demonstrate a passion for safety, helping your team understand that safety is the top priority
  • Teach and coach behaviors that will truly prevent injury
  • Collaborate with Electrical Project Manager to discuss labor and material requirements, and evaluate work in progress to ensure electrical services meet scheduling, budget, and quality standards

Requirements

  • Current or previous leadership experience as a Lead Electrician, Foreman, Supervisor, or Superintendent working on commercial electrical projects
  • In-depth experience and knowledge of commercial electrical and control systems
  • 7+ years of experience (preferred, but not required)
  • Journeyman or Master’s Electrical License (preferred, but not required)

Qualifications

  • Ability to interpret blueprint drawings and plans
  • Safety-minded and thorough knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
  • Experience and demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office and internet usage
  • High energy level to handle dynamic, evolving, and fast-paced workload
  • Skillful listener, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
