Electrical Startup Engineer
PM Group’s Outsourced Technical Services (OTS) team is seeking an Electrical Startup Engineer to support clients across the complete project life cycle at a site near Zebulon, NC. With over 50 years of industry experience, PM Group provides integrated resources and technical professionals to complement client project teams. This role focuses on leading design support, equipment installation, startup, troubleshooting, and operational readiness for Drug Substance manufacturing systems.
About the role
As a System Owner, you will represent owner stakeholders and support startup and operational readiness activities for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences manufacturing systems. This is an onsite, full-time position within an employee-owned, international project delivery firm serving pharma, food, biotech, medical technology, and mission-critical sectors.
Responsibilities
- Support startup and operational readiness activities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams during commissioning and startup.
- Participate in system walkdowns and punch list resolution.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues during startup.
- Coordinate with Automation, CQV, vendors, Operations, and Maintenance.
- Support system turnover to manufacturing.
- Assist with startup documentation and issue tracking.
- Provide field support during initial production operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
- Previous startup or commissioning experience within life sciences (strongly preferred).
- Excellent troubleshooting and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time onsite.
