Position Summary

The Electrical Service Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for customers, field technicians, vendors, and management to ensure electrical service requests are scheduled, dispatched, completed, and billed accurately and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, process, and coordinate incoming service requests from customers via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Serve as support for customers regarding service requests, scheduling updates, job status, and completion notifications.
  • Create and maintain service work orders and ensure all related documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Track technician labor hours, service reports, material usage, and job completion information.
  • Aid in preparing service quotations, estimates, proposals, and maintenance agreements.
  • Cook up procurement of materials and equipment required for service work.
  • Maintain an eye on open service calls and follow up to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Process service orders, technician reports, and customer approvals for billing.
  • Assist with preparation and submission of customer invoices and maintain timely payment of billing.
  • Maintain filing systems, customer records, and electronic documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, technicians, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
  • Aid in service department reporting and operational improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate Degree in Business, Construction Management, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in service coordination, dispatching, construction administration, customer service, or electrical contracting preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical construction and service operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Experience with service management software, ERP systems, dispatch software, or construction management platforms preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple service requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Professional demeanor and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands to operate office equipment. Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, and visit active job sites. Occasionally lift and/or move materials, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. Must possess visual ability necessary to perform computer work and review service documentation.

Work Environment

Primarily performed in a professional office environment. Frequent interaction with customers, technicians, and vendors via phone and email.
