Electrical Reliability Engineer

Principle Accountabilities

• Manages all phases of developing key maintenance programs from conception through final implementation.
• Works with key maintenance and engineering personnel to support daily, monthly scheduled maintenance outages and annual outages jobs within the field of electrical maintenance and engineering.
• Crossover activities to the mechanical maintenance programs may be required to deliver complete programs for all types of equipment.
• Works with mechanical maintenance/engineering and operations personnel to complete electrical or mechanical maintenance projects and programs including: necessary training, stocking of spare parts, preventive maintenance checklists, drawing creation and updates, etc.
• Supports the Mills goals for safety, environmental, and other areas of need.
• Focuses on electrical equipment reliability.
• Manages equipment tracking and rebuild programs.
• Utilizes predictive & preventative maintenance programs to identify and correct equipment issues.
• Inputs and updates equipment information and documentation.
• Develops equipment manuals for precision inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Manages area equipment PM and maintenance programs.
• Manages assigned work for monthly and annual outages.
• Aids in MS Project timelines for monthly and annual outages.
• Plans and executes capital projects for maintenance replacements of equipment.
• Effectively manages jobs for best results at lowest cost.
• Looks for opportunities to solve issues, reduce costs, and improve planning performance.
• Solves problems utilizing the mill’s RCFA program.
• Effectively manages contractors for performing jobs.

Basic Qualifications

• Performs other responsibilities as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience required.
• A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience, or the equivalent, in Electrical maintenance.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and AutoCAD.
• Successful completion of drug screen required and authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pulp & Paper industry experience preferred.

Pay & Benefits

Starting salary range for position: $85,000 - $120,000.

Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.

Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer-provided matching contributions.
