About the role
Bonus Electric is a rapidly growing electrical contractor with a focus on commercial and industrial projects. We are currently seeking Mid-Level and Upper-Level Electrical Estimators to support our expansion.
Compensation
- Mid-Level Estimator: $95,000 - $120,000
- Upper-Level Estimator: $120,000 - $145,000
Position Overview
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for developing accurate, competitive cost estimates and bid proposals for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, field leadership, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure estimates align with project scope, schedule, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates, takeoffs, and bid proposals
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents
- Perform comprehensive cost analysis and pricing evaluation
- Utilize Accubid Enterprise (or similar estimating software) to develop accurate estimates
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and preconstruction teams
- Support design-build and negotiated project opportunities
- Affirm compliance with NEC standards and industry best practices
- Assist in developing bid strategies to improve project competitiveness
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial and/or industrial electrical construction
- Experience using Accubid Enterprise or similar estimating software
- Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
- Experience with electrical takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost analysis
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications

- Leadership or team management experience
- Preconstruction experience
- Bluebeam Revu proficiency
- Design-build project experience
- Vendor and subcontractor bid solicitation experience
