Electrical Project Director
Responsibilities
- Directs and manages the entire project, guiding subordinate managers, enforcing company and project policies, and serving as a primary liaison between Shimmick and the client.
- Ensures all aspects of the project are constructed according to design, budget, and schedule.
- Manages the project from pre-construction budgeting and scheduling through contract closeout.
- Has primary fiscal responsibility and acts as a key liaison between the client and Shimmick for assigned projects.
- Assesses and manages risk on behalf of the client.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field + 10 years of relevant experience related to electrical construction projects, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Established experience leading electrical infrastructure construction projects in the greater Seattle market, with strong local owner, agency, contractor, and industry relationships.
- Demonstrated business development experience, including identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and contributing to project pursuits and revenue growth.
- Prominent ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing project teams while providing strategic oversight to Project Managers and operations staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders.
- Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Hightly organized with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

The salary range for this position is between $170,000-$200,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.
