Electrical Mechanical Trainee

About the role

Quad is currently seeking candidates for its Maintenance Technician Trainee program. This program begins in one of its Wisconsin locations and offers a glimpse into a world-class maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Working a 12-hour shift, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Flexibility of hours to be worked around the school schedule.
• Learning alongside experienced Maintenance personnel.
• Identify where a failure can be predicted.
• Learn how to conduct routine preventative maintenance task lists.
• Electrical and Mechanical servicing, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment.
• Learn how to safely troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficient in basic Mechanical repair.
• Use a personal computer for the program required for school work.
• Strong verbal and written comprehension, with the ability to thrive in a team environment and work well under supervision.
• The ability to work responsibly in a variety of environments, including at heights up to 100 feet when servicing high bay cranes.
• Trainees may be required to travel locally between our locations to complete program requirements; therefore, the ability to travel between those plant locations is essential.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in or completed a Maintenance-related Technician program.
• Experience in an Industrial Manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude, strong math skills, and basic computer skills are highly desirable.

Skills

• Basic Mechanical repair skills.
• Computer proficiency for school work.
• Ability to work in various environments, including at heights up to 100 feet.
• Travel between plant locations as required.
