Electrical Mechanical Technician II

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance work on all plant equipment, including various types of electrical repairs; maintain foundry and shop machinery, heating systems, foundry furnaces, compressors, electrical, plumbing, etc.

• Operate and use various types of power tools, including hand tools, welders, torches, and other maintenance shop machinery
• Rebuild or create parts for machinery for both the foundry and shop areas
• Perform duties specified in schedule as per instructions from supervisor
• Maintain safety awareness when working with power tools, hand tools, and machinery
• Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
• Work with other maintenance personnel when required
• Take advanced training classes to understand and troubleshoot CNC controls, PLC controls, electrical wiring, electrical schematics, and ladder diagrams

Requirements

• Basic working knowledge of various trade fundamentals
• Good knowledge of blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and machine parts drawings
• Ability to work in all types of working conditions typically found in foundry and shop environments
