Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties of Electric Mechanic “B”
  • Performs size changes on all production lines.
  • Executes the preventive maintenance program schedule to avert production and equipment failures and downtime.
  • Troubleshoots hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoots AC/DC electrical circuits.
  • Troubleshoots single phase and 3-phase power.
  • Read and interpret hard wire schematics.
  • Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and program PLC’s.
  • Aid in the training of the Electrical Mechanic in Training and B level Electric Mechanic.
  • Absorb and follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Clean work area, tools, and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Vocational/Technical certificate or A.A Degree; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Abilities

  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
  • Occasionally sit.
  • Frequently stand and walk.
  • Routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to year round weather conditions, fumes and/or airborne particles.
  • Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to high precarious places and vibration.
  • Noise level in the plant are usually loud, proper personal protective equipment will be worn in given plant areas and when essential job function necessitate.
