About the role
As our electrical division continues to expand, we're looking for an experienced Electrical Manager to lead our growing team. This position oversees multiple electrical foremen and crews while ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the Adams Services standard.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage 2-4 electrical foremen and their crews.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the electrical department.
- Cook up manpower, schedules, and project timelines.
- Monitor job progress, quality, productivity, and profitability.
- Perform regular jobsite visits and quality inspections.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company standards.
- Coach, mentor, and develop foremen, electricians, and apprentices.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing leadership.
- Work with the office to ensure projects are scheduled and staffed efficiently.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers, builders, contractors, and inspectors.
- Lead safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.
- Resolve jobsite issues quickly while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Aid in hiring, training, and building a high-performing electrical team.
Estimating and Business Development
- Help grow the department by increasing earnings through estimating and business development.
- Estimate residential and commercial electrical projects.
- Meet with customers to discuss project scope and recommend solutions.
- Prepare accurate proposals and job estimates.
- Follow up on estimates to help secure new business.
- Earn additional commission on approved estimates you personally sell.
What We Need
- Minimum 8 years of electrical experience.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
- Experience reading blueprints and electrical plans.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Alabama Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
- Experience managing multiple foremen and crews.
- Previous estimating experience.
- Residential and light commercial electrical experience.
- OSHA safety knowledge.
- Experience with scheduling and estimating software.
