Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and review the work of Maintenance Technician I, II, and III.
  • Perform highly skilled mechanical and electrical work under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Install, operate, and maintain various tools, instruments, and equipment used in the testing and repairs of mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot advanced electrical circuits.
  • Operate maintenance vehicles including aerial lifts, personnel transport vehicles, and forklifts.
  • Work independently in the absence of supervision.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Computer experience/operation and PLC programming ability.
  • Ability to maintain various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Working knowledge of operations, services, and activities of all areas of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
  • In-house electrical authorization must be obtained prior to conducting any electrical assignments.
  • Ability to lead, organize, and review the work of maintenance staff.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to complete all work with quality workmanship and quality repairs.

Qualifications

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • A thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes.
  • Working knowledge of operations, services, and activities performed by and within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program.
  • Occupational hazards and standard safety practices (including but not limited to; NFPA, OE, OSHA, and WestRock).
  • Operational characteristics of a variety of measuring and testing equipment and tools for mechanical maintenance.
  • Applicable codes and ordinances related to mechanical trade.

Pay

The starting rate is $32 per hour or more, depending on your role, level, and location. The benefits for this role may include short-term bonus incentives, health, dental and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts or health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and paid sick leave as required by applicable state/local law, 10 days of paid vacation, and 11 days of paid holidays, subject to annual change.
