We are seeking dedicated Electrical Engineers to lead electrical design projects for power distribution equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements while supporting our rapidly growing business.
Responsibilities
- Provide real-time technical support to manufacturing teams during assembly operations.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on the production floor and implement effective solutions.
- Review engineering designs for manufacturability and provide constructive feedback to design teams.
- Support prototype builds and new product introductions.
- Assist in quality control inspections and resolution of mechanical non-conformances.
- Support mechanical design activities for switchgear and power distribution equipment.
- Create and modify 3D models and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
- Perform basic mechanical calculations and design analysis.
- Assist in developing mechanical design standards and best practices.
- Support custom engineering projects and design modifications.
- Develop manufacturing work instructions and assembly procedures.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including assembly drawings and process sheets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
- Assist in implementation of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Help establish mechanical assembly standards and quality procedures.
- Interface between design engineering teams and manufacturing operations.
- Work closely with electrical engineers to ensure proper electro-mechanical integration.
- Coordinate with quality teams to resolve mechanical design and manufacturing issues.
- Support field service teams with technical guidance when needed.
- Communicate design changes and updates across departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical design or related field.
- Knowledge of electrical power systems and NEC standards.
- Experience with CAD software, AutoCAD Electrical preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Skills
- Experience with power distribution equipment design.
- Knowledge of UL 891/1558/67 and NEMA standards.
- Understanding of protection and control systems.
- Manufacturing or field service experience.
- PLC programming knowledge.
- Data center or industrial applications experience.
- EIT certification or plans to pursue PE licensure.
Work Environment
The facility is large and currently under construction for the next 5-6 weeks. Working hours are from 6 am to 6 pm, operating on a Panama shift schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off).
Pay
The pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year.

Permanent, fully onsite position based in Hanover, MD. Working hours are 6 am to 6 pm on a Panama shift schedule (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off).
