Electrical Lead

As an Electrician Lead in Houston, TX, you will play a key role in ensuring the operation of our facility and production equipment by overseeing, reviewing, and signing off on electrical work. You will be responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and process improvements, while providing guidance and coaching to our Electrical Shop and Team.
Responsibilities
- Exercise a high degree of professionalism when responding to internal and external customer concerns, repairs, and installations of equipment.
- Perform electrical work such as preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment related to electrical, controls, and PLC.
- Assist in the integration, start-up, and debug of new or moved equipment.
- Construct and modify new and existing electrical circuits and distribution equipment following NEC requirements.
- Support the development of technician skills through training and coaching to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards and adherence to procedures.
- Maintain accurate equipment repair/modification documentation and update equipment files.
- Supervise electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors.
- Plan, estimate materials, and manage electrical projects from start to finish.
- Work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Work flexible hours, including overtime or on-call rotations as required.
Requirements
- Valid Electrician license in the state of Texas.
- Exceptional knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and equipment.
- PLC certified or demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot, program, configure, and install PLC processors and components.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to determine appropriate solutions.
- Ability to successfully implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, lockout/tagout, and OSHA standards.
