Electrical Integration Engineer Intern

The company develops next‑generation defense technologies and advanced systems for customers worldwide. The Electrical Integration Engineer Intern position for the summer of 2027 will work alongside Oshkosh Electrical Integration & V&V (Verification and Validation) Engineers, gaining hands‑on experience across multiple engineering disciplines while contributing to real‑world projects.

Responsibilities

• Support Electrical and Software Engineers in the design and integration of vehicle control/embedded systems.
• Follow projects on the assembly floor for prototype, pilot, or production builds and provide technical assistance.
• Learn vehicle troubleshooting techniques and effective documentation practices.
• Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to develop solutions to engineering problems.
• Execute test cases to validate functionality, performance, and safety‑critical behavior of embedded systems.
• Verify communication across CAN, LIN, and Ethernet networks using tools such as Vector CANoe, DET, CANalyzer, or ETAS INCA.
• Log, document, and triage software defects, collaborating with developers and system engineers for resolution.

Qualifications

• Student working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the summer of 2027 (relocation assistance provided for candidates residing more than 50 miles from Oshkosh).

Pay

Pay range: $18.00 – $37.00 per hour. The exact rate is determined by factors such as experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
