About the role

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you will maintain the electrical and instrumentation equipment at our production facility in Aliceville, Alabama. This full-time, permanent position is central to supporting a zero-carbon energy future.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, adjust, calibrate, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used for monitoring and recording.
  • Check meters, indicators, and gauges for abnormal fluctuations.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of both software and hardware operations.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on all control instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures.
  • Complete work order cycles by performing tasks, confirming time spent, and entering equipment history.
  • Diagnose current or potential issues with plant electrical equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate, calibrate, and adjust equipment as necessary.
  • Lay out, install, and put electrical equipment into service.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to ensure the designated area remains clean and free of safety hazards.
  • Utilize a multi-craft skill set to perform additional maintenance tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo, and Frequency Drives.
  • Professional attitude and ability to work well with others.
  • Commitment to promoting a safe working environment and adhering to all workplace and job safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work shifts that may include weekends, nights, and holidays.
