About the role
Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Estimator. In this role, you will assist in the preparation and review of E & I estimates across the following industries:
- Advanced Generation
- Battery Storage
- Utility Solar
- Fuel & Natural Resources/Process
- Water & Wastewater
You will understand design scope, develop quantities, apply productivity rates to quantities to develop manhours, and assist in maintaining the Estimating database. You will work with the estimating team to create process efficiencies, prepare and present estimates to management, update and maintain historical data, and travel to active projects to perform audits.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and review of Electrical & Instrumentation (E & I) estimates
- Understand design scope and develop quantities
- Apply productivity rates to quantities to develop manhours
- Maintain the Estimating database
- Work with the estimating team to create process efficiencies
- Prepare and present estimates to management
- Update and maintain historical data
- Travel to active projects to perform audits
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Strong E & I skillset
- Industrial Project Field experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under timelines
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) proficiency
- Estimating Software (SAGE Timberline, InEight) experience
- 1 to 3 years of estimating experience (preferred)
- Field and/or Project experience (a plus)

Pay
Annual compensation ranges for this role by state or jurisdiction:
- State of Colorado: $107,404 - $161,150
- State of Minnesota: $102,522 - $161,150
Schedule
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.
