Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and modify drawings and 3D models based on designer or engineering markups, adhering to company and client standards.
- Prepare all drawings and standards in full accordance with company and client requirements.
- Cookordinate designs effectively with other disciplines, including civil, mechanical, and GIS.
- Operate with minimal supervision, providing guidance to junior drafting personnel.
- Rigorously review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company design standards.
- Develop and implement new company design standards to enhance overall efficiency.
- Guarantee the quality of all work and meet required schedules for assigned tasks and projects.
- Support document control and organize drawing files for streamlined access and management.
- Actively participate in drawing reviews and coordination meetings.
- Exhibit a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and software.
- Strictly adhere to all corporate safety protocols.
Required Skills and Abilities
- A solid understanding of instrumentation and electrical engineering concepts.
- Proficiency with CAD and other software packages in standalone and network configurations (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, CadWorx Plant, CadWorx P&ID, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Google Earth).
- The ability to recognize design issues/conflicts and communicate them to supervisor or more senior staff.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- The ability to organize and prioritize project workload.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- A team player who can communicate and relate well with others.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds.
- The ability to move around the office for daily tasks and meetings, and job site visits, when required.
