Electrical & Instrumentation Designer I

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and modify drawings and 3D models based on designer or engineering markups, adhering to company and client standards.
• Prepare all drawings and standards in full accordance with company and client requirements.
• Cookordinate designs effectively with other disciplines, including civil, mechanical, and GIS.
• Operate with minimal supervision, providing guidance to junior drafting personnel.
• Rigorously review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company design standards.
• Develop and implement new company design standards to enhance overall efficiency.
• Guarantee the quality of all work and meet required schedules for assigned tasks and projects.
• Support document control and organize drawing files for streamlined access and management.
• Actively participate in drawing reviews and coordination meetings.
• Exhibit a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and software.
• Strictly adhere to all corporate safety protocols.

Required Skills and Abilities

• A solid understanding of instrumentation and electrical engineering concepts.
• Proficiency with CAD and other software packages in standalone and network configurations (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, CadWorx Plant, CadWorx P&ID, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Google Earth).
• The ability to recognize design issues/conflicts and communicate them to supervisor or more senior staff.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• The ability to organize and prioritize project workload.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• A team player who can communicate and relate well with others.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds.
• The ability to move around the office for daily tasks and meetings, and job site visits, when required.
