Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all electrical, instrumentation, and controls activities on site.
  • Mentor and develop a team of electricians, instrument technicians, and controls specialists.
  • Ensure work complies with project specifications, industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
  • Oversee installation, testing, calibration, and commissioning of electrical and control systems.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, planners, and management to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Plan and manage schedules, manpower, materials, and subcontractors to meet project milestones.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce compliance, and foster a strong safety culture on site.
  • Prepare progress reports, documentation, and status updates for management.

Work Details

Location: On-site in Idaho

Schedule: 3 weeks on / 1 week off

Flights and accommodations provided

Contract duration: 12 months, with potential extension based on project requirements

Requirements

  • Journeyperson or Master Electrician license preferred; strong background in instrumentation and controls.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical, instrumentation, and controls on industrial or heavy construction projects.
  • Proven experience in a superintendent or leadership role, managing crews on-site.
  • Extensive knowledge of PLCs, DCS, SCADA, and industrial control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and instrumentation drawings.
  • Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA standards, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; able to coordinate multiple trades.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and meeting project schedules.
  • Experience in oil & gas, power generation, chemical, or manufacturing sectors; familiarity with US-based electrical and safety codes.
