Electrical Installer 1

About the role

Convergint is seeking a full-time Electrical Installer who is passionate about providing world-class service and committed to personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and perform system start-up/check-out on assigned Fire, Security, and Building Automation projects.
• Deliver projects effectively and within budgeted cost and time schedules with guidance as needed.
• May work on larger projects with greater complexity as needed and able.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Requirements

• Basic construction skills and understanding of system plans.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, and cable support installation.
• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g., works with a variety of hand and power tools).
• Solid math skills (for some positions, includes calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent experience.
• Basic construction with some level of electrical or a low voltage background.
• 1-3 years relevant experience in one or more of the following industries: electronic/electrical, fire alarm & life safety, data-cable installation and/or building automation.
