Electrical HVAC/R Journeyman -Commercial & Industrial

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, and install different kinds of electrical systems.
• Determine layouts and test electrical patterns.
• Read and interpret blueprints, run conduit, and wire devices.
• Layout circuits and replace damaged sections of wiring.
• Perform upgrades or preventive maintenance to electrical control systems.
• Run tests, isolate problems, and diagnose issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma is required; prefer some trade or technical school classes.
• 5+ years’ work experience as an electrician apprentice.
• Licenses as a Journeyman or Electrician to meet state requirements.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Knowledge of electrical applications for high and low-voltage electric systems.
• Skills in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of commercial construction industry-related products and tools.
• Skilled in both verbal and written communication.
