Responsibilities
- Repair, maintain, and install different kinds of electrical systems.
- Determine layouts and test electrical patterns.
- Read and interpret blueprints, run conduit, and wire devices.
- Layout circuits and replace damaged sections of wiring.
- Perform upgrades or preventive maintenance to electrical control systems.
- Run tests, isolate problems, and diagnose issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma is required; prefer some trade or technical school classes.
- 5+ years’ work experience as an electrician apprentice.
- Licenses as a Journeyman or Electrician to meet state requirements.
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Knowledge of electrical applications for high and low-voltage electric systems.
- Skills in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of commercial construction industry-related products and tools.
- Skilled in both verbal and written communication.
