Duties
- Designs and develops electronic circuits for the automotive industry, applying knowledge and principles of electronic theory, design, and engineering.
- May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to formulate and test electronic designs.
- Manages technical aspects of projects to ensure they meet program timing.
- Interfaces with systems, software, mechanical, and manufacturing groups to ensure quality design of final product.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree field and seven (7) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in an Electrical Engineering position.
- Experience leading hardware engineering teams in the automotive domain.
- Experience with Battery Management Systems and cockpit electronics design and development.
- Experience with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and automotive cybersecurity standards.
- Experience with customer support with automotive OEMs.
- Experience defining hardware development cycles, managing schedules & allocating resources to meet project goals.
Other
- This is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address.
- This position requires international and domestic travel, as needed, up to 5%, including two annual trips to Visteon Mexico.
