SUMMARY
Performs supervisory responsibilities for managing all aspects of electrical installations during construction of a project from the ground up.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforces safety regulations, rules and working conditions.
- Plans and prepares proper Temporary Power plan.
- Layout contract drawings or work with BIM personnel to have a proper underground, electrical room layout, and all systems installation drawings.
- Update and submit weekly 2- or 4-week manpower plan / review with lead journeyman / review with project manager / review with Superintendent.
- Monitor and update percent completes weekly and review areas with each lead area journeyman.
- Collect and review daily reports / Southwest & General Contractors.
- Review Jobsite cleanliness / have enough Trash Gondolas and Ensure daily clean up from crews.
- Maintain a Clean and organized Connex and Material staging areas.
- Maintain a Clean and organized Office / Office Job Trailer / Tool Connex.
- Review Jobsite Material staging within 50 ft from crew work areas to eliminate employee traveling.
- Review jobsite Tool staging area for more effectiveness.
- Have enough Jobsite radios for communication and avoid cell phone use.
- Ensure all company tools are secured and that all tools are chained and locked at the end of the day.
- Manage how and when tools to be picked up and removed from jobsite to eliminate cost.
- Manage all Rental equipment / maintain an accurate Equipment rental log.
- Maintain a current updated progress drawings / As-builts.
- Maintain a current RFI log.
- Maintain a current Fixture log.
- Maintain a current Gear log.
- Maintain a current Torque and conductor Insulation resistance report.
- Ensure that project is built to requirements and specifications established by construction documents and per current NEC.
- Implement all QA/QC documents.
- Identify individual talent and experience of field crew, place and assign duties for most effective results out of each employee.
- Complete and review with employee performance evaluations every 6 months, review with Superintendent and submit to HR.
- Manage Daily Production sheets (To submit Totals on data entry).
- Manage and Enter time sheets for employees per cost codes.
- Order Materials in a timely manner Never run out.
- Manage Back orders and hold the suppliers accountable.
- Maintain a good record of packing slips.
- Manage Subcontractors accordingly and monitor their progress and completions.
- Assist and participate on all Southwest training classes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- TDLR Electrical Journeyman License minimum.
- OSHA 30 certified minimum or willing and able to obtain it within 30 days of employment.
- 10+ years of related experience including being part of large-scale projects.
- Experienced with working on the installation of medium voltage gear and all work associated in commercial buildings.
