Duties/Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate field electrical activities on jobsite: up to 20 electricians, subcontractors, equipment installation, conduit and wiring, panels, switchgear, etc.
- Monitor field progress vs. schedule; communicate any delays, variances or site issues back to the Project Manager or Superintendent and implement corrective actions.
- Enforce safety protocols, site rules, and compliance with codes and regulations; conduct daily safety inspections and JHA.
- Completes Daily Report and monitors timekeeping on the job.
- Interpret and manage drawings, specs, change directives, site coordination with other trades and the general contractor.
- Cook up delivery of material, equipment and tools, subcontractor scheduling, labor allocation, equipment usage and site logistics.
- Perform quality inspections, ensure installations meet company standards and code/client/owner requirements.
- Liaise between field crews and Superintendent: provide updates, highlight risks/issues, ensure alignment.
- Mentor field personnel, monitor workforce performance, and assist in workforce development and site productivity improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent: completion of an approved apprenticeship program is preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience as an electrician with industrial and controls experience 1 year minimum at the leadman level in industrial electrical installation.
- Proficiency in interpreting industrial electrical and control drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, codes (NEC/NFPA), construction methods and equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools.
- Ability to use various testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communications, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Strong commitment to safety with OSHA 30 preferred.
- Valid Georgia Driver’s license and clean driving record.
Qualifications
All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, witnessed drug test, and valid driver license.
