About the role

The D&L Electric team is seeking an Electrical Foreman to lead and manage a team of electricians.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and direct the work of the job crew employees on a daily basis
  • Hire and direct the training of employees as needed, as well as discharge employees in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Maintain familiarity with plans, specifications, and job folder contract scope
  • Attend coordination meetings as required and provide necessary information
  • Monitor and document the progress of the job through the use of appropriate forms listed on the Mobile App
  • Provide a Lead person with current and accurate information by generating RFI’s, memos, and other forms of communication
  • Monitor, direct, and improve as necessary the quantity of work performed by the crew
  • Communicate company policies and procedures to the job crew
  • Apply knowledge of National Electrical Codes as needed
  • Order daily materials as needed and follow up at the end of each workday
  • Monitor and manage tool control for the job site
  • Ensure the job site is properly cleaned up at the end of each workday
  • Ensure compliance with all job safety standards established by company and all regulatory agencies
  • Monitor and track employee work time as necessary, as well as approve work time as needed

Requirements

  • A High School diploma / GED or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Industrial Foreman running ground-up/Shell & Core Construction projects
  • An NCCER certified Industrial Electrician or an Electrician State License is a Plus)
  • Must be able to pass a DISA D/A test
  • Demonstrated safe and proficient operation of equipment in a variety of work environments
  • Must be able to perform physical duties (lifting, walking, climbing, bending, and leaning for extended periods of time)
  • Must be able to work in inclement weather (hot, cold) including working on high areas
  • Bend and install rigid conduit
  • Set up and pull wire and cable
  • Terminate power, control, and instrumentation wire and cable
  • Install electrical gear, equipment, and devices
  • Solid/stable/proven experience in electrical field
  • Read/comprehend tape measure, blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, formulas and processing charts
  • Must have knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA safety standards

Qualifications

  • Installs of conduits using a hand, mechanical, or hydraulic bender
  • Knows, understands, and follows OSHA and Safety Regulations
  • Follows L.O.T.O policies

Skills

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and OSHA safety standards

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
