Position Summary
The Electrical Foreman will participate and oversee the installation or maintenance and inspection of large electrical projects, systems, and supervise team members including Sub-Contractors.
Role And Responsibilities
- Regular attendance at assigned location that may include office or other project sites
- Act as a team leader in the execution of electrical work
- Oversee and audit site safety and quality control programs
- Oversee and coordinate any Sub-Contractors' work that may be working under the Electrical Division
- Coordinate field trade activities in accordance with the project schedule and help with developing the three weeks look-ahead coordination schedules with all appropriate Project Team Participants
- Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors
- Ensure field installation compliance with all technical specifications, approved shop drawings & submittals
- Coordinate equipment and specialty material deliveries and staging requirements
- Supervise and participate in the installations of Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm, Security, Instrumentation and Controls, UPS, Generator and other related systems
Qualifications
- Essential Skills & Characteristics:
- Ability to work independently and lead a team of trade employees and apprentices
- Follow plans and instructions from supervisors or more experienced workers
- Strict adherence to all co-workers and clients in an attentive courteous manner
- At times may perform clerical/administrative duties
- Participate in site housekeeping
- Absorb and coordinate with scheduled shutdowns, support associated on-site operational requirements
- Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or relevant work experience
- 10 years of Field Experience, Journeyman, Working Leader
- Applicable State Trade License
- OSHA 10 certification
- Knowledge of Standard Operations Procedures (SOP's)
- Competency in Permit Required Confined Space
- Understanding and development of daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in industrial construction preferred
