Overview
Merrick is looking for an Electrical Field Technician to join our Nuclear Services & Technology Team in Aiken, South Carolina. Local candidates only.
What You'll Do
- Lead field operations and provide technical troubleshooting to identify and resolve on-site issues.
- Provide technical support to on-site teams to proactively identify and resolve operational roadblocks.
- Translate engineering diagrams, drawings, and documents provided by Engineers to the fabricator; answering fabricator questions if possible.
- Oversee equipment installation, testing, and maintenance.
- Generate and submit daily and monthly reports of work done indicating project progress.
- Ensure and maintain safety of on-site equipment.
- Verify contractor submission of weekly construction progress.
- Engage in reporting, week-ahead, inter-team, and contract meetings to support alignment, coordination, and project objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience.
- Associate’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and industry related technical knowledge.
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
- Must be U.S. citizen.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and insurable under Merrick’s insurance carrier.
