Electrical Estimator (Tampa, Florida) Overview The Electrical Estimator (Tampa, Florida) will prepare accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of commercial electrical projects, with a primary focus on tenant improvements, buildouts, renovations, and service-related work. Typical project values range from approximately $7,500 to $1 million. This position requires the ability to manage multiple estimates at various stages while working closely with customers, vendors, project managers, and field personnel. Electrical Estimator Responsibilities Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and customer requests to develop complete and accurate electrical estimates.Prepare material and labor takeoffs, solicit vendor and subcontractor pricing, and develop competitive proposals for projects ranging from small service work to $1M commercial projects.Estimate tenant improvement, buildout, renovation, and service projects while identifying scope gaps, exclusions, and potential value-engineering opportunities.Manage multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with varying bid deadlines and project sizes. Follow up with customers after proposals are submitted and assist with scope clarification, pricing revisions, negotiations, and project turnover.Work closely with project managers, service teams, and field leadership to ensure estimated scope, labor, and materials align with project requirements. Electrical Estimator Qualifications 3+ years of electrical estimating experience with a commercial electrical contractor.Experience estimating tenant improvements, commercial buildouts, renovations, service work, and other small-to-midsize electrical projects.Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction documents, labor productivity, material pricing, and typical commercial construction practices.Ability to estimate and manage a high volume of projects ranging from approximately $7,500 to $1 million.Proficiency with electrical estimating software; Accubid experience preferred.Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills with the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
