Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial electrical projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment estimates
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Collaborate with project managers, operations, and clients throughout the preconstruction process
- Assist with proposal preparation and bid submissions
- Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information
Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience with industrial electrical construction projects
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, construction methods, and estimating principles
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
- Able to manage multiple estimates and deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed to support project and client needs
