About the role
This role includes supervisory responsibilities and participation in project management, project bidding and cost estimation.
Responsibilities
- Prepares detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Reviews plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop competitive proposals.
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously from pre-construction through closeout.
- Covers coordination with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Develops project schedules, tracks progress, and adjusts plans as needed to meet deadlines.
- Maintains project budgets, controls costs, and manages change orders.
- Ensures compliance with all electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Conducts site visits, pre-bid walkthroughs, and project meetings.
- Provides leadership and direction to field personnel and subcontractors.
- Maintains clear and consistent communication with stakeholders regarding project status.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid, active Master Electrician License for the state of RI required, and must be willing to transfer to Aero Mechanical, Inc.
- 5+ years of electrical field experience, with at least 2 years in estimating and/or project management.
- Experience with large-scale residential, commercial, or industrial electrical systems and managing small to mid-sized electrical projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems codes, industry standards and safety procedures.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
- Experience with estimating software and project management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems (e.g., solar installations) is preferred.
- Prior experience working with general contractors and large clients preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- First Aid/CPR certification helpful.
- OSHA certification will be required.
