About the Role

This position will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of commercial construction project proposals and bids. You will identify and compute labor, material, and time costs by studying proposals, blueprints, specifications, and other bid documents.

Responsibilities

• Visit project and pre-bid meetings to understand site conditions and scope.
• Review plans and specifications.
• Provide accurate take-off.
• Work with the estimating team to build the estimate and pricing.
• Develop preliminary schedules.

Requirements

• 3+ years of previous commercial construction experience with public, private, or federal projects.
• B.S. Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
• Civil estimating experience preferred.
• Well-rounded base of knowledge in construction disciplines.
• Strong working knowledge of estimating software like Cost-OS, OST, and PlanSwift.
• Working knowledge of programs such as Bluebeam, Excel, and Word.

Physical Demands

Physical requirements for this role may include but are not limited to walking, standing, operating tools/equipment, and lifting items (up to 25 lbs). Tasks may also be carried out in varying weather conditions and environments as applicable to the position.
