Electrical Estimator

About the role

The electrical estimator develops cost estimates for routine small construction projects under direct supervision, interpreting client documents, proposals, blueprints, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Examine proposals, blueprints, and specifications to determine work scope and duration.
• Prepare material orders and related documentation.
• Visit job sites to assess progress, maintain logs, troubleshoot problems, and evaluate work.
• Create project plans from estimates, defining tasks, schedules, and necessary personnel.
• Confer with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers; negotiate and use local expertise to estimate costs.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma minimum; degree in a related field preferred.
• At least two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to pass a background screen.
• Experience working with ACCUBID preferred.

Skills

• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proficient in take‑off estimator planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask while staying organized.
• Self‑motivated with positive customer service skills.
