Electrical Estimator

Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates on routine small projects under direct supervision for construction as required by clients documents.
• Examine proposals, blueprints, and specifications to determine the kind and time period of work necessary for a project.
• Prepare material orders and other documentation.
• Visit job sites to assess progress, maintain logs, troubleshoot problems, and evaluate work.
• Create project plans from estimates, and define tasks, schedules, and necessary personnel.
• Confer with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, and negotiate and use local expertise to estimate costs.
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• High School minimum; Degree in related field preferred.
• Experience overall - two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Must be able to pass background screen.
• Experience working in ACCUBID preferred.
• Must work at an intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proficient in take-off estimator planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to multitask while staying organized.
• Self-Motivated.
• Positive customer service skills.
