Position Overview The Estimator plays a key role in developing competitive and accurate cost estimates for commercial and industrial electrical projects. This position is responsible for evaluating labor, materials, and project complexity to ensure that bids are comprehensive, competitive, and align with company standards. The Estimator collaborates closely with the Senior Estimator, Preconstruction Manager, project teams, and subcontractors to support successful project planning and execution. What You'll Do Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates based on preliminary, schematic, and construction documentsCollaborate with the Estimating Manager, architects, engineers, and owners to develop plans and specifications within budget parametersCoordinate subcontractor bidding and scope reviews to support accurate, complete budgetsAnalyze plan overlays to identify changes or revisions affecting project budgets or constructabilityUtilize Accubid to manage bid campaigns, RFIs, and subcontractor communicationsReview project documents to identify detailed scopes of work across all relevant divisionsEvaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for alignment with project specificationsBuild and maintain subcontractor relationships through consistent communication and bid participationMaintain accurate trend cost data to support reliable budgeting on future projectsEnsure compliance with local and state building codes, public funding standards, and minority subcontractor participation goals What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferredMinimum of 3 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial or industrial construction (required)Proficiency in Accubid, Microsoft Excel, or other estimating tools (required); experience with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, or InSite a plusStrong understanding of NEC code, electrical systems, and construction practicesFamiliarity with CSI format and ability to read and interpret detailed plans and specificationsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsProven ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal teams, clients, and subcontractorsField experience preferred Why You'll Love Working Here Collaborative, family-oriented culture with a strong commitment to safety and qualityOpportunity to shape competitive bids on heavy electrical and commercial construction projects across the Mid-AtlanticStable company with long-term career growth potentialCompetitive pay and benefits Job Type: Full-time Pay Range: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year + bonus Work Location: In person Benefits 401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insurance Dvorak, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
