Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to gather information for estimating processes
- Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs for proposals
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements
- Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals to clients
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
Requirements
- Associate degree in construction related field preferred OR equivalent field experience
- 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, particularly in commercial projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, local codes, and regulations
- Proficiency in estimating software and general office applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
